Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Field Services Technician to support projects in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. You will perform high voltage protection and control testing, relay calibration, and data documentation on substations and power systems.

Qualifications

HS diploma or equivalent.
7+ years in electrical testing, including HV breakers, transformers, and substation testing.
Expertise with transmission, generation, and distribution relays and protective schemes.
Protection relay testing using Omicron/Doble test sets.
Experience with NETA, IEEE, NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

Perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations.
Calibrate and test protective relays using relay test sets.
Document site activities with field forms and digital tools.
Support project leadership and mentor junior technicians.
Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on sites.
