Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Technician Field Services based in Wisconsin or Minnesota. You will lead field operations for complex electrical testing and commissioning in utility substations and power systems, mentoring technicians and coordinating with engineers and project managers.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience with protective relays, high voltage equipment, and field safety programs.

Qualifications

• 11+ years in electrical testing; HV CBs, transformers, relays experience.
• Experience with SEL, Basler, Beckwith, and GE relay families.
• Proficiency with Omicron and Doble test equipment and related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and provide technical guidance on complex projects.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver tasks safely.
• Mentor technicians and ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform on-site testing and commissioning of protection and control systems.
