Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Technician Field Services to support Wisconsin or Minnesota projects. You will lead field operations, perform protection and control testing, and mentor technicians in safety and quality.

The role requires extensive HV testing experience (15 kV to 500 kV), hands-on relay testing with Omicron/Doble, and travel up to 80%. You will collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to deliver reliable, compliant results.

Qualifications

• 11+ years in electrical testing, incl. HV breakers and substations.
• Experience with transmission, generation, or distribution relays and protective schemes.
• Calibrate relays using Omicron/Doble test sets and perform system testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for complex projects with expert technical guidance.
• Perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems on HV substations.
• Mentor technicians and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; document field activities.
• Lead field readiness, tool inspection, and site logistics; travel up to 80%.
