Longroad Energy, a Boston-based renewable energy developer, seeks a Senior Origination Manager to lead customer engagement, commercialization strategy, and PPA negotiations for utility-scale solar and storage projects across ERCOT, SPP, MISO, PJM, SERC, and ISO_NE.

The role collaborates with development, interconnection, finance, engineering, and legal teams to move projects from origination through execution, with up to 30% travel and remote work within the Eastern U.S.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in energy markets or seven+ years in utility-scale renewables.
• Familiarity with renewable project PPAs.
• Strong partnership mindset and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to read and interpret complex contracts.
• Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Experience coordinating across cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities by monitoring market fundamentals and regulatory developments.
• Support development of commercial theses and senior management presentations.
• Build and maintain relationships with utilities, municipalities, and off takers.
• Lead bid package preparation including RFP/RFI responses for East region.
• Lead PPA negotiations from term sheet to contract execution with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare governance memos and strategy decks for leadership.
