Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 5-7+ years of utility-scale renewable energy, energy storage, infrastructure, transmission, or project development experience
• Demonstrated success securing site control and advancing projects through key development milestones
• Strong understanding of ERCOT market fundamentals and project economics
• Experience leading contract negotiations and stakeholder engagement efforts
• Ability to travel regularly throughout Texas and nearby markets

Responsibilities

• Lead origination and greenfield development of utility‑scale solar, wind, and standalone or co‑located BESS projects across ERCOT.
• Develop market‑based origination strategies and identify high‑potential development corridors.
• Negotiate leases, purchase options, easements, and complex land agreements.
• Represent Avangrid Power in high‑impact negotiations with landowners, county officials, economic development organizations, regulators, and community leaders.
• Manage project development activities including permitting, interconnection, commercial strategy, title, survey, and real‑estate diligence.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams and external consultants.
• Support acquisitions, joint ventures, and development partnerships.
• Present project recommendations and risk assessments to senior leadership.
