Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking an Oracle Cloud Project Manager (Public Sector/K12) to lead complex, multi-year engagements for US public sector clients. The role requires extensive PM experience, ERP/SaaS knowledge, and strong executive relationship skills. Travel to customer sites will be expected as needed.

This permanent, full-time position focuses on orchestrating delivery and growth within state, local, and K-12 segments, with a clear path to leadership in IBM’s public sector practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of consulting experience or equivalent, with at least 6 years in public sector project management at IBM or similar firms.
• Experience with ERP and SaaS, preferably Oracle Cloud.
• Proven track record as architect/solutions specialist or project manager with delivery accountability.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across client levels.
• Experience managing multi-year contracts with multiple sub-contractors and phases.

Responsibilities

• Improve customer success through client-centric engagement and high satisfaction.
• Establish public sector/K-12 industry best practices and customer advocacy.
• Orchestrate delivery-led growth with public sector/k-12 clients.
• Lead multiple project teams; guide project managers, account managers, and delivery leadership.
• Draft accurate statements of work clarifying client and IBM roles and expectations.
• Identify and pursue profitable new business opportunities within existing client bases.
• Participate in Sales and Pre-sales activities for public sector pursuits.
• Maintain strong executive-level client relationships and navigate escalation paths.
• Apply risk, change, and contract management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
