Job summary

IBM Consulting in the United States seeks an Oracle Cloud Project Manager for Public Sector / K12 to lead complex engagements. This permanent full-time role requires deep delivery expertise, multi-year contracts, and the ability to travel to client sites as needed.

You will articulate project scope, align stakeholders, manage risks, and ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes across public sector clients. Master’s degree and 15+ years of consulting experience with ERP/HCM SaaS, Oracle Cloud

Qualifications

15 years of consulting experience or equivalent, with at IBM 6 years of managing projects/programs.
Experience with ERP and HCM SaaS applications, preferably Oracle Cloud.
Experience as architect/solutions specialist, or project manager.
Proven track record developing new profitable business.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Collaborative team player in an IBM-paced environment.
Attention to detail and curiosity to dig deeper to solve problems.
In-depth knowledge of public sector organizations, processes, challenges, and technologies.
Active participation in professional associations and industry roundtables.

Responsibilities

Improve customer success through customer-centric engagement and high customer satisfaction.
Establish public sector/k12 industry best practices and customer advocacy within IBM delivery.
Orchestrate delivery-led growth and partnership with public sector/k12 clients.
Create customer forums and groups to enhance IBM client experience and IBM industry presence.
Administer IBM engagement by expanding IBM Service Lines within our public sector clients.
Direct multiple project work teams, collaborating with project managers, account managers, and delivery leadership.
Set project objectives and priorities; monitor progress, performance, and staffing requirements.
Provide leadership in structuring large client engagements, typically multi-year, multi-contractor, multi-phase.
Manage delivery of a portfolio within timelines, budgets, margins, and quality; use risk/change/contract management.
Write accurate statements of work so client and IBM staff understand expectations and roles.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing client bases; qualify, price, negotiate services.
Participate in Sales and Pre-sales for new Public Sector client pursuits.
Establish strong client relationships to translate long-range requirements into a services strategy.
Establish partnerships with client senior management and executives; act as escalation point.
Function as an expert in one or more solution areas; map solutions to client business and growth.
Establish relationships with public sector trade associations and regulatory bodies.
