Zusammenfassung

RTX is seeking an experienced Electro‑Mechanical Engineer to lead the Air Launched Effectors All Up Round (ALE AUR) Mechanical Design team. You will drive detailed hardware designs, including opto‑mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems, while balancing budgets, schedules, and SOW deliverables.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical design, environment testing, and cross‑functional leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 10+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years experience.
• Experience in hardware engineering design, development, and production support.
• DoD program exposure or similarly complex development efforts.
• Experience with static, dynamic, and thermal mechanical analyses.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude with troubleshooting and testing skills.
• Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings and tolerance stack-up analyses.

Aufgaben

• Lead an engineering team focused on opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical design.
• Oversee drafting, structural/thermal analyses, EM simulations, and PI/SI analysis.
• Serve as primary liaison between Program Office, Chief Engineer’s Office, and suppliers.
• Coordinate milestones, resources, and cross-functional collaboration for top-tier designs.
• Manage obsolescence and qualification of replacement parts for rate production.
• Support supply chain, quality, and manufacturing in production pipelines.
• Prepare technical data for ERB, MRB, and Change Boards; align Engineering and Operations.
• Lead R&D and prototyping for new technologies and IRAD initiatives.
• Develop and execute environmental qualification test plans (shock, vibration, thermal cycling, EMI/EMC).
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
