Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Electro‑Mechanical Engineer for the ALE AUR Mechanical Design organization. You will lead a team responsible for high‑performance opto‑mechanical and electro‑mechanical hardware, balancing SOWs, budgets, and schedules while interfacing with program offices, chief engineers, and suppliers.

Responsibilities include drafting, analyses, PI/SI, obsolescence management, and collaboration across optical, systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams to ensure top‑tier

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 10+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years experience.
• Experience in hardware engineering design, development, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Lead opto‑mechanical and electro‑mechanical design teams.
• Perform static, dynamic, and thermal analyses and EM simulations.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and SOW deliverables across cross‑functional groups.
• Develop and execute environmental qualification test plans (shock, vibration, thermal cycling, EMI/EMC).
