Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Senior Operations Manager to oversee budget, people development and site objectives at the Fulfillment Center. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching them to meet performance goals while nurturing leadership and positive employee relations.

The role requires strategic leadership to balance operational excellence with team development and cross-functional collaboration across HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and IT to drive results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of quality improvement and process optimization initiatives, including Lean methodologies, to enhance operational efficiency.
• Responsible for overall performance of either Inbound or Outbound operation, including safety, quality and customer experience.
• Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Operations Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
• Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area.
• Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.
• Works closely with support staff to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.
