Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead a Fulfillment Center, overseeing budget, people development and operational goals. You will mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers, drive Lean initiatives, and ensure safety, quality and stellar customer experience.

Responsibilities include setting expectations, measuring performance, and coordinating with HR, Finance and Facilities for resources while building leadership bench strength across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, terminations.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to meet business plan.
• Responsible for safety, quality, performance and customer experience of Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Sets requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages Managers to source ideas and develop improvement plans.
• Ensures best practices are shared across departments and shifts.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers for resources.
