Job summary

Prolific Academic Ltd is seeking Operations and PMO leaders to join our Expert Network as subject matter experts. You’ll bring director-level experience in operations or PMO and help researchers with real-world planning and governance insights.

Successful candidates complete a short test and, if invited, will be paid to share expertise on research tasks. Many tasks pay up to $200 per hour and can be done from home.

Qualifications

• Director-level or above experience in an Operations or PMO function across sectors such as Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail, Technology, Professional Services, Financial Services, Utilities, or Government.
• Domain knowledge in project governance, resource planning, portfolio management, capacity planning, or operational strategy.
• Hands-on use of planning or PPM platforms such as Microsoft Project, Planview, Smartsheet, Jira, or ServiceNow.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to draw on complex planning workflows and portfolio experience.
• Exceptional written communication and attention to detail in governance, planning, or PMO topics.
• A PayPal account to receive payment from clients.

Responsibilities

• Answering Research Questions: share expert perspective on prioritisation, resource allocation, governance, and planning processes.
• Scenario Review: assess PMO scenarios like governance cycles, capacity reviews, escalations, and budgeting workflows.
• Surveys & Interviews: participate in structured surveys or interviews informing research on planning practices and PMO operations.
• Product & Process Feedback: provide input on tools, workflows, and PMO processes related to planning and portfolio management.
• Framework Input: contribute expertise to help researchers understand how Operations and PMO use planning tools and governance frameworks.
