Job summary

Wayfair in Indiana, USA seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead center operations, safety, and customer fulfilment. You will drive cross-functional projects, manage senior teams, and champion Lean initiatives to improve efficiency and performance.

You will partner with stakeholders across transportation, analytics, inventory planning, and engineering to deliver high-impact improvements while maintaining a strong safety culture and exceptional service levels.

Qualifications

• Experience guiding complex operational, system, and performance improvement projects.
• Minimum 2+ years in ecommerce, supply chain, operations, or logistics.
• Strong manufacturing or engineering background with the ability to read and interpret process flows.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and synthesize multiple viewpoints into an action plan.
• Proven leadership in driving a people-centric and safety-first culture.
• Hands-on floor presence and ability to prioritize projects.

Responsibilities

• Expand strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership to identify opportunities to improve operations.
• Oversee safety, engagement, collaboration, performance, and customer delight within the center’s operations.
• Create and maintain a robust safety culture that continuously removes hazards.
• Lead and develop a team of senior operations managers & supervisors.
• Drive Lean initiatives and high-impact projects to increase efficiency and meet business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (transportation, S&OP, analytics, engagement, inventory planning, engineering) to coordinate focused projects.
• Monitor and report on KPIs to ensure excellent customer service and fulfillment of commitments.
• Contribute to development of tools and technologies that improve team efficiency.
• Support process improvement and innovation to meet company goals for revenue and profitability.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong communication and compliance.
• Set up system improvement projects that drive year-over-year development.
