Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee strategic objectives, budget, and people development at the Fulfillment Center site. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, mentor leaders, and drive performance while maintaining strong employee relations.

Responsibilities include Lean-driven process optimization, safety and quality emphasis, and cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, and IT to secure resources and execute improvement plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Experience with performance metrics and Lean techniques.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of quality improvement and process optimization initiatives, including Lean methodologies.
• Responsible for overall performance of Inbound or Outbound operation, including safety, quality and customer experience.
• Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas into improvement plans.
• Ensures best practices are shared across departments, shifts and network.
