Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead all aspects of site operations, budget, and people development at the Gardner, KS Fulfillment Center. You will coach and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers, ensuring performance targets are met and positive labor relations are maintained.

Responsibilities include driving Lean initiatives, improving safety and quality, and partnering with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and IT to secure resources for projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
Experience with staffing lifecycle and Lean techniques.
Ability to manage performance metrics and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

Drives creation of quality initiatives, Lean initiatives to meet the business plan.
Oversees safety, quality, performance and customer experience for Inbound/Outbound ops.
Sets expectations for Ops and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
Leverages Managers to source ideas and create improvement plans.
Shares best practices across departments and network.
