Job summary

Amazon in Kansas City, KS seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead site operations and budgetary goals. You will coach a team of Operations and Area Managers, drive safety and customer experience across inbound/outbound flows, and collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and IT to secure resources.

You will implement Lean initiatives, set performance expectations, and share best practices across shifts and departments while strengthening leadership bench within the Fulfillment Center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle including interviewing, hiring, performance management.
• Strong experience with performance metrics and Lean techniques.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgetary, people development, and operations objectives.
• Coach and mentor team of Operations and Area Managers to meet performance objectives.
• Drive Lean initiatives and process improvements to meet the business plan.
• Ensure safety, quality and customer experience across inbound or outbound operations.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT to secure resources and support initiatives.
