Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead budgetary, people development and site operations. You will manage and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers, driving Lean initiatives and ensuring safety, quality and customer experience.

This role requires 7+ years of direct management in a manufacturing or distribution environment, strong metrics, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Prior experience with the full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Work flexible hours, including overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgetary, people development, and operations objectives at the site, leading a team of Operations and Area Managers.
• Drive quality, process change and Lean initiatives to meet and exceed business plans.
• Ensure safety, quality, performance and customer experience for Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Set expectations for Operations and Area Managers and measure performance with feedback.
• Leverage Managers to source ideas and create improvement plans for the area.
• Share best practices across departments, shifts, and the network.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT to secure resources for projects.
