Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead site operations, manage budgetary objectives, and develop a high-performing team including Operations and Area Managers within the Fulfillment Center.

You will coach staff, drive Lean initiatives, ensure safety and quality, and partner with HR/Finance/Safety to secure resources and improve performance across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Flexibility to work overnight, weekends and holidays.
• Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field and MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to enable their functional area and ensure FC goals.
• Oversees safety, quality, performance and customer experience for Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Sets expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages managers to source ideas and create improvement plans.
• Encourages sharing best practices across departments, shifts and network.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers for resources and support.
