Job summary

Bread Financial Payments is seeking a Lead - Operational Risk Business Specialist to empower first lines of defense through strong risk management and governance practices.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to embed risk-awareness into strategic plans and daily processes, leveraging tools like RCSA, RAMs, KRIs, and independent risk assessments to drive a robust risk culture across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years experience in Risk management, audit, governance, compliance oversight, control oversight, or related disciplines.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Communications, Accounting, or related field
• 10+ years experience in Risk management, audit, governance, operational risk oversight, control oversight, or other related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Governance & oversight of key risk programs (RCSA, Issues Management, Risk Assessments, Operational Loss) and guide risk mitigation.
• Consult with leadership for end-to-end RCSA execution, including control breaks and resolutions.
• Analyze program data (KRIs, RAMs, losses, tests) to provide strategic recommendations and reporting.
• Support process enhancements and advise on upstream/downstream operational impacts to strengthen the second line.
