Job summary

Bread Financial in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Lead - ERM Specialist to oversee second-line oversight of BSA/AML, OFAC, and Fraud compliance programs. You will partner with first and second lines to challenge, monitor, test, assess risks, and ensure regulatory alignment.

The role requires strong analytical, reporting, and collaboration skills; you will prepare materials for governance committees, support risk assessments, and help strengthen the control environment within a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 8+ years of experience in consumer credit, banking compliance and/or a related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Risk, Compliance or Legal.
• CAMS (ACAMS), CFE (ACFE), CRCM (ABA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, monitoring, and thematic reviews to assess the effectiveness of first line processes and controls.
• Assist in enterprise and targeted risk assessments across financial crimes domains, identifying inherent and residual risks.
• Support preparation of reporting and materials for governance committees and senior leadership.
• Participate in projects and initiatives to strengthen compliance frameworks and processes.
• Demonstrate MS Office, communication, collaboration, Adobe, and writing skills.
