Job summary

Accenture seeks a Senior Ontologist and Knowledge Architecture Lead to own the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise knowledge graph initiatives. You will shape semantic modeling strategy, ontology governance, and the technical direction of a cross‑functional team.

Responsibilities include end‑to‑end ontology lifecycle, architecture standards, mappings, and integration with NLP/AI teams for knowledge‑augmented models. This hybrid role requires time in office and travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years hands-on experience in ontology engineering or knowledge modeling.
• Experience delivering production‑grade ontologies in enterprise or large‑scale consulting environments.
• Lead role with responsibility for technical standards, team development, and roadmap ownership.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or PhD) in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Define enterprise ontology architecture, URI strategy, versioning policy, and alignment with upper ontologies.
• Lead alignment between domain ontologies and enterprise semantic assets.
• Collaborate with NLP/AI teams to develop ontology-guided pipelines for information extraction.
• Mentor ontologists and manage delivery timelines and dependencies.
