Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Ontologist and Knowledge Architecture Lead to own enterprise knowledge graph initiatives, including semantic modeling strategy, governance, and technical direction for a cross-functional team.

You will drive ontology design, interoperability with business and data teams, and alignment with regulatory and governance standards. Hybrid work with significant travel to client locations is expected.

Qualifications

• 12+ years hands-on experience in ontology engineering or knowledge modeling
• Production-grade domain ontologies in complex enterprise environments
• Agile or iterative delivery experience with leadership responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ontology lifecycle: requirements gathering, conceptual modeling, formal spec (OWL 2, RDFS, SKOS) and deployment
• Define enterprise ontology architecture: modular design, URI strategy, versioning, alignment with upper ontologies
• Establish governance: version control, change management, quality gates, deprecation policies
• Lead SME workshops to elicit domain concepts and business rules; resolve ambiguity
• Guide AI/ML teams on ontology-informed feature engineering and integration patterns
• Lead roadmap, estimation, and delivery across ontology initiatives
