Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent-IS to manage multi-home construction sites from permit to closing, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will schedule subcontractors, conduct homeowner walkthroughs, inspections, and maintain daily communications to address concerns, while upholding company standards. The role requires diagnosis of site conditions, adherence to building codes, and effective collaboration with sales and warranty teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years related experience in construction.
• Ability to read/interpret construction docs and drawings.
• Knowledge of building codes and municipal permits.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery within budget.
• Coordinate and evaluate subcontractors for quality and code compliance.
• Complete homes from planning through occupancy and fulfill contract obligations.
• Inspect workmanship and halt nonconforming work; authorize payments after inspection.
• Oversee customer experience through the construction process and regular communication.
