Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Clinical Account Executive to drive promotion of a new oncology therapy. You will build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, monitor territory performance, and lead cross-functional collaboration to optimize uptake in a fast-paced oncology market.

This role requires travel up to 75%, strong analytic capability, and a track record in leading key accounts such as IDNs, academic centers, and hospitals. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device sales.
• Strong analytics with excellent overall business acumen including budget planning and management.
• Ability to foster strong relationships with senior management and external partners.
• Self-directed and willing to travel on short notice when a patient is identified that needs help.
• History of lead key account management teams for complex customers such as IDNs, Academic Institutions, Hospitals, Large Groups practices, etc.
• Willing to travel up to 75% of the time. Business travel, by air or car, is regularly required.
• Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment.
• MBA or Graduate Degree
• Omni channel experience balance in person promotion with digital assets and other mediums to amplify share of voice to key customers

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze territory level sales data.
• Proactively communicate with the marketing team through ongoing feedback on the development and implementation of effective selling materials.
• Participate on cross-functional teams to support key accounts within the geography
• Teamwork with other account managers across the country
• Key account management that engages the entire care team
• and adverse event mitigation, monitoring, and management.
• Educate patient care teams about initiation and managing patients per protocols associated with the product.
• Attend and actively participate in local oncology society meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, advocacy events, etc., some of which occur in the evenings or weekends.
