Job summary

Rose Associates in New York City is seeking an experienced Property Manager to lead operations, maximize occupancy, and ensure regulatory compliance across a multifamily portfolio. You will work with owners, residents, and staff to drive financial performance and exceptional service.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in multifamily management, a NY real estate license or plan to obtain within 120 days, and strong skills in budgeting, leasing, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, real estate, or finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of multifamily residential property management experience.
• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, RentCafe, Elise AI, iLuvLeasing, On-Site).
• Strong financial skills with knowledge of GAAP.
• NYS real estate license or ability to obtain within 120 days; license must be registered.
• Availability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engage with owners, upper management, and partners to enhance client satisfaction.
• Communicate with residents promptly to address concerns.
• Review lease packages with compliance, leasing, and accounting.
• Lead Resident Managers and staff, set goals and schedules.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a unified team.
• Oversee policy compliance and drive high survey/audit results.
• Inspect properties, coordinate maintenance and capital improvements.
• Supervise construction for new buildings.
• Negotiate service contracts and manage obligations.
• Be on-site for emergencies and coordinate resources.
• Prepare operating budgets and variance/utility reports.
• Analyze income/expenses and advise upper management.
• Process invoices and manage vendor payments.
• Foster resident retention and community engagement.
