Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician for Alta Purl in Charlotte, NC. The role performs technical and mechanical work to keep buildings meeting company standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality.

Essential duties include completing work orders, making-ready vacant units, inventory tracking, documentation, and maintaining grounds. Schedule is Monday–Friday with rotating on-call; onsite benefits apply.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local jurisdiction certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, depending on property size.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance to meet safety, quality, and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant apartment homes, including inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Tracks materials and returns unused items; notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork for service requests to ensure accurate records.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; assists with cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and general upkeep.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts where feasible and using tools efficiently.
