Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Alta Wyatt in Durham, NC. The role focuses on keeping buildings, grounds, and common areas in top condition, with emphasis on repairs, preventative maintenance, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools; safe use of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read/write/communicate effectively for management support.
• MS Office and database familiarity; property management system experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills for financial, administrative and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversees and completes make-ready process for vacant units; schedules vendors and inspectors.
• Maintains standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors and common areas.
• Inspects work by service team members and contractors; enforces quality standards.
• Maintains inventory and coordinates with Community Manager on supplies within budget.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance procedures per policy.
• Assists Community Manager in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Supports cost-control and uses tools appropriately to avoid waste.
• Conducts safety meetings and keeps MSDS and OSHA compliance up to date.
