Job summary

Greystar, Pringle Square in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building and grounds meet safety and quality standards. Role covers repairing, make-ready tasks, inventory control, and safety compliance onsite.

Responsibilities include handling resident work orders, preventive maintenance, documenting tasks, and assisting with grounds upkeep. Must have EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver's license; expect on-call rotation

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification (required).
• All required State and Local certifications must be valid.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property, depending on size.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects from resident service requests following safety standards.
• Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Track inventory, obtain supplies, and coordinate materials from the maintenance department; notify re-ordering needs.
• Document service requests accurately so they can be tracked and closed.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities: cleaning, pressure washing, painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing parts when feasible rather than replacing components.
• May inspect work by contractors/vendors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.

Education

EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification

State and Local jurisdictions certifications as required
