Job summary

Target is seeking a Sr. Owner’s Site Representative to support Construction Project Management for store and distribution center projects. You’ll ensure turnover, inspect materials, reconcile quantities, and report to Headquarters.

You’ll manage contractor performance, maintain schedules, and drive quality control across teams. The role requires a 4-year degree in construction-related field, 10+ years on-site experience, strong communication, mentoring ability, and proficiency with PM software.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Construction Management/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of on-site construction management experience.
• Expert ability to interpret engineering documents, evaluate construction estimates, and prepare required construction reports, schedules, and other documents.
• Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor others.
• Ability to implement new processes for improved productivity for field personnel.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office/Office 365 programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint), Skype for Business.
• Knowledge of construction-based project management software and smart phone/tablet applications (Plangrid, Procore, Trello, Slack, Kanban), Smartsheet.
• Requires near 100% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of store and distribution center construction projects.
• Coordinate and oversee onsite construction process and turnover.
• Ensure schedules and budgets are adhered to; manage communication with vendors and field teams.
• Oversee contractors, vendors, and installers to ensure work meets plans and quality standards.
• Mentor new OSRs and troubleshoot problem jobs as assigned by Sr. Manager.
