You will negotiate, supervise experts and counsel, and travel to mediations or trials as needed, mentoring peers and contributing to continuous improvement in claims handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Familiar with ocean marine claims processes and exposure.
• LIC enforcement: claims handling and litigation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Typically handles moderate to complex exposure ocean marine first and third party property damage claims including Ocean Cargo, CGI, Hull, Piers Wharves & Docks, P&I, and Marina Operator’s Liability.
• Serves as primary contact for selected accounts.
• Reviews policies to confirm coverage.
• Directs outside counsel and monitors litigation on complex claims with cost control.
• Negotiates and settles claims
• Prepares coverage position letters and reports.
