Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a program-focused parts/engineering professional for obsolescence management. This onsite role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, working with design, contracts, supply chain, and program management.

You will develop SOWs, drive obsolescence mitigation, oversee lifetime buys, select alternate parts, and support negotiations and proposals. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proactive and reactive component obsolescence management methodologies.
• Data collection, analysis, and presentation of system impact.
• Project management with schedules, costs, and stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

• Understand/generate SOW and customer component requirements.
• Develop obsolescence management processes to mitigate costs.
• Drive mitigation strategies including lifetime buys and alternate parts.
• Interface with program leadership to communicate mitigation status.
• Conduct trade studies to identify cost-effective redesign points.
