Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly skilled Parts/Components Engineer to support programs in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on obsolescence management, sourcing, and engineering analyses to ensure uninterrupted production across DoD programs.

You will collaborate with Designers, Contracts, Estimating, and Supply Chain on mitigation strategies and proposals. Ideal candidates have a STEM degree, 5+ years in obsolescence, and strong data analysis and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience in obsolescence management.
• Experience with data collection, analysis, and presenting impact of obsolescence issues.
• Experience with project management, schedules, costs, and stakeholder needs in obsolescence processes.
• Financial and Contract Management experience with proposals, SOWs, and CLINs.

Responsibilities

• Understand and define customer component application requirements and SOWs.
• Develop proactive obsolescence management and mitigation strategies.
• Support lifetime buys, alternate part selections, redesigns, and contract negotiations.
• Interface with program leadership and multiple disciplines to communicate mitigation status.
• Conduct trade studies to identify cost-effective obsolescence solutions.
