Job summary

RTX is seeking a Program Obsolescence Specialist in Tucson, AZ to lead obsolescence management across proposals, system design, low rate production, and production support. You will work closely with Designers, Supply Chain, and Program Management to drive issue resolution and cost-saving strategies.

The role requires strong communication, analysis, and multi‑disciplinary collaboration, with travel as needed and onsite work in Tucson.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in obsolescence management or related field.
• Experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation of component obsolescence impact.
• Experience with project management including schedules, costs, and stakeholder needs.
• Experience with proposals, BOE, EVMs, SOWs, CLINs and CDRLs.

Responsibilities

• Understand and/or generate a program SOW and customer component requirements.
• Develop proactive Obsolescence Management processes to mitigate obsolescence.
• Drive lifetime buys, alternates, redesigns, and support contract negotiations and BOE.
• Interface with Program and customer leadership to communicate mitigation status.
• Conduct trade studies to identify cost‑effective obsolescence cut-in points.
