Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a seasoned Parts/Components/Applications engineer focused on obsolescence management. You will lead lifecycle mitigation, engage with Designers, Contracts, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure timely resolution and cost-saving strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5+ years of related experience.
Experience with obsolescence management methodologies.
Experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation to discuss system impact.
Experience with cost/schedules and stakeholder needs integration during the obsolescence process.
Financial and Contract Management experience with proposals, BOE, EVMs, SOWs, CLINs and CDRLs.

Responsibilities

Understand and/or generate a program statement of work (SOW) and customer component application requirements.
Develop and sustain an obsolescence management process to deliver cost-saving strategies.
Drive resolution through lifetime buys, alternate parts, redesigns, or other mitigation strategies; support negotiations and supplier statements of work for proposals.
Interact with program and customer leadership to communicate mitigation status.
Conduct trade studies to identify cost-effective obsolescence-driven changes.
