Job Summary

Position: Program Direct‑Support – Obsolescence Integrated Product Team (OIPT) LeaderLocation: Tucson, AZ (Onsite)Role Type: Requires U.S. citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance.This role will drive obsolescence issue resolution for multiple program phases, interfacing with designers, contracts, supply chain, and program management.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and/or generate a program statement of work (SOW) and other customer component application requirements.
  • Develop and sustain a proactive Obsolescence Management process to deliver cost‑saving mitigation strategies and solutions.
  • Drive resolution through lifetime buys, alternate part selection, redesign efforts, or other mitigation strategies, and facilitate contract negotiations, basis of estimates, and supplier statements of work.
  • Interact with program and customer leadership regularly to communicate mitigation status.
  • Conduct trade‑study analysis to identify cost‑effective obsolescence‑driven cut‑in points for proposed redesigns.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with proactive and reactive component obsolescence management methodologies.
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation of system impact of component obsolescence issues.
  • Project‑management experience working with schedules, costs, and stakeholder integration throughout the obsolescence process.
  • Financial and contract‑management experience with proposals, BOE, EVMs, SOWs, CLINs, and CDRLs.
  • Experience with BOM development and management for developmental and production programs.
  • Risk and opportunity business‑case analysis experience supporting sustainment vs redesign cut‑in decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Ability to navigate multiple complex processes and tools.
  • Understanding of technical theories and concepts as applied to electronic components and parts management.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and hierarchy definitions.
  • Knowledge of component failure modes by commodity, MIL drawings, standards, test specifications, QPLs, and QMLs.
  • Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for military and aerospace flight applications.
  • Knowledge of analog design, digital circuitry, and interfaces.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with Integrated Product Team members and customer interactions.
  • Outstanding organizational, presentation, and technical skills; ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
  • Willingness to support occasional travel.
Security Clearance

Active DoD Secret clearance required. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is mandatory. U.S. citizenship is required.
