Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead obsolescence management within the Obsolescence Integrated Product Team. This onsite role requires DoD Secret clearance and a strong background in parts engineering and supplier collaboration.

You will develop proactive mitigation strategies, support lifetime buys or redesigns, and coordinate with design, contracts, and supply chain to keep programs on schedule and within cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with obsolescence management methodologies.
• Data collection, analysis, and presentation skills.
• Project management across schedules and costs.
• Financial/Contract management experience with SOWs/BOE/EVMs/CDRLs.

Responsibilities

• Understand program SOWs and customer requirements.
• Develop proactive obsolescence management processes.
• Drive life-cycle mitigation strategies and support contract negotiations.
• Interface with program and customer leadership on mitigation status.
• Conduct trade studies to identify cost-effective obsolescence mitigations.
