Job summary

Freedompay seeks an experienced Observability leader to define and drive enterprise observability strategy. You will steer Dynatrace SaaS adoption, establish OpenTelemetry standards, and design telemetry for cloud-native environments.

You will mentor engineers, influence architecture, and lead cross-functional initiatives to elevate service reliability and operational excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in observability, SRE, or platform/infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on Dynatrace SaaS and latest platform capabilities experience.
• Strong OpenTelemetry instrumentation and telemetry architecture knowledge.
• Experience designing observability for cloud-native infra and distributed systems.
• Experience with AIOps or agentic operations capabilities.
• Solid understanding of metrics, logs, traces, and alerting models.
• Ability to influence architectural decisions and drive adoption across teams.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale observability transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise observability vision, standards, and roadmap.
• Lead Dynatrace SaaS implementation and platform adoption enterprise-wide.
• Establish scalable telemetry architecture and OpenTelemetry standards.
• Design observability for Kubernetes, containers, microservices, and cloud environments.
• Apply AIOps and agentic operations for detection, automation, and diagnosis.
• Develop service health models, SLOs, dashboards, and alerting strategies.
• Collaborate across engineering, SRE, platform, security, and infra teams to grow maturity.
• Guide transition from legacy monitoring to modern observability models.
• Mentor engineers and influence enterprise architecture and standards.
