Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a leader to join our team supporting nuclear pipe stress analysis and design across the industry. You will guide a group of engineers, approve designs, mentor staff, and build strong client relationships while ensuring quality and on-time delivery for projects in the Nuclear Services Group.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, 6+ years in piping design with nuclear or heavy industry, a PE license, and hands-on knowledge of ASME B31.1 and B&PV,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years of experience in piping design, layout and analysis in power/nuclear/heavy industry; 2+ years in lead role.
• Professional Engineering License.
• Advanced knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes.
• Knowledge of AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, and/or other pipe stress software.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project needs.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead the unit and coordinate work with Directors, PMs, and internal stakeholders; approve timesheets, expenses, and annual performance appraisals; support recruiting.
• Maintain unit quality standards; certify design documents; provide technical leadership and resolve issues with SMEs.
• Collaborate with PMs to meet budgets and schedules; approve engineering documents; contribute to scope/budget for proposals; cultivate client relationships.
• Provide timely performance feedback and coaching; promote staff development and licensure.
• Support company policies and staffing plans.
