Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a seasoned mechanical engineer to lead and contribute to nuclear power plant projects. You will prepare or review modification packages, create critical drawings, and perform engineering analyses to support plant modifications and operation.

The role is hybrid, requiring in-office work three days per week, with opportunities to interface with clients and lead project teams. A BS/MS from an ABET-accredited program and 12+ years in power engineering are required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in the power industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical design in nuclear power plants.
• PE license is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review modification packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Create functional mechanical drawings and drawings for nuclear power plant systems.
• Perform engineering analyses to support plant modifications and operation.
