Job summary

Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power Group is seeking a Mechanical/Systems Engineer to design and review nuclear power plant systems, including modification packages, drawings, and technical specifications. This role emphasizes client interface, cost estimation, and leading project teams.

Hybrid work arrangement requires in-office presence three days per week, with travel to client sites as needed. A strong background in ABET-accredited engineering and nuclear industry experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of power plants.
• PE license is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Involved in nuclear power plant systems design, including modification packages and drawings.
• Engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications and operation of plant systems.
• Technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Vendor bid evaluations for plant equipment.
• Studies and options evaluations for modifications to operating nuclear plants.
• Lead engineering project teams.
