Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to design and review nuclear power plant systems, including modification packages, drawings, engineering analyses, and procurement documents. The role involves evaluating vendor bids and studies to support plant modifications.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 7+ years of experience in the power industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
• PE license is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review modification packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Create functional mechanical drawings and drawings for nuclear power plant systems.
• Perform engineering analyses and evaluations for plant modifications and operations.
• Prepare or review technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Conduct studies and evaluations of options for plant modifications.
