Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced engineer to contribute to nuclear power plant systems design, including modification packages, drawings, analyses, and specifications. The role emphasizes leading project teams and delivering cost-effective designs in a collaborative setting.

The position is based on a hybrid schedule requiring three in-office days weekly, with opportunities to interface with clients and support performance improvements across plant systems.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 7+ years of experience in the power industry and knowledge of codes and standards.
• PE license is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Modify packages for operating nuclear power plants and review drawings.
• Prepare or review engineering analyses and specifications for plant equipment.
• Lead engineering project teams and interface with clients.
• Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized scopes.
• Visit client offices or plant sites to present engineering task status.
