Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced engineer to support the design and modification of nuclear power plant systems. You will prepare or review mechanical drawings, analyses, technical specifications, and vendor bid evaluations for plant equipment.

The role involves leading project teams and interacting with clients on-site. The position follows a hybrid schedule with in-office work three days per week, and requires ABET‑accredited engineering credentials and substantial power-industry

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Systems Engineering, or General Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 5+ years of experience in the power industry
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants
• PE license is beneficial, but not required

Responsibilities

• Modify packages for operating nuclear power plants
• Create functional mechanical drawings and drawings for nuclear power plant systems
• Perform engineering analyses to support modifications and operation of plant systems
• Prepare or review technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment
• Study options Evaluations for modifications to operating nuclear plants
