Sargent & Lundy, a leading nuclear engineering firm, seeks an experienced mechanical/chemical engineer for systems design and modification projects in the nuclear power sector. You will develop and review mechanical drawings, perform analyses, and prepare procurement documents for plant equipment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clients, cost estimation for work scopes, and leading project teams. A hybrid work setup is offered with relocation assistance depending on location.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• Experience in nuclear power plant design and modification projects.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and regulations for nuclear mechanical design.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to modification packages and drawings for nuclear power plants.
• Perform engineering analyses and evaluations to support plant modifications and operations.
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Lead engineering project teams and interface with clients.
• Develop cost estimates for small to mid-sized client work scopes.
• Interface with client offices/sites and present engineering status.
• Hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote.
