Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior engineer to contribute to nuclear power plant systems design, including modification packages, drawings, analyses, and procurement documentation. The role involves vendor evaluation, option studies, and leading project teams.

The position supports hybrid work with in-office presence required three days per week. A strong background in ABET-accredited engineering and extensive power industry experience is essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited program required.
• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Systems Engineering, or General Engineering.
• PE license is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Modify packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Prepare or review functional mechanical drawings and drawings for nuclear plant systems.
• Perform engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications and operation of plant systems.
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Study and evaluate options for modifications to operating nuclear plants.
• Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client work scopes.
• Interface with client at office or plant site and present engineering tasks/status.
• Lead engineering project teams.
