Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an engineer to design and review nuclear power plant systems on a hybrid work schedule (in-office 3 days/week). You will develop modification packages, drawings, analyses, and specifications for plant equipment, while leading project teams and interfacing with clients.

The role emphasizes engineering cost estimates, site interfacing, and oversight of automation-enabled workflows in a modern, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• PE license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review modification packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Produce functional mechanical drawings and drawings for nuclear plant systems.
• Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations to support plant modifications.
• Create technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Study options and evaluations for modifications to operating plants.
