Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a Senior Instrument & Controls Engineer to advance nuclear I&C design across projects including SMRs. You will collaborate with project teams, interface with clients, and mentor junior engineers. Hybrid work requires in-office presence three days per week.

The role emphasizes deployment of PLC, DCS, and instrumentation systems with a strong emphasis on client satisfaction and high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 7+ years of experience in design engineering for process control systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering for process control systems in nuclear power projects.
• Interface with discipline engineers, designers, and clients to meet requirements.
• Prepare documentation for design input, drawings, and procurement specs.
• Mentor less experienced nuclear I&C design engineers.
• Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to verify deliverables.
• Contribute to digital systems such as PLC, DCS, and related control networks.
