Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead design and technical documentation for nuclear plant projects. The role covers PLC/DCS scope, procurement/specification work, and site walkdowns with client interaction.

The position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office work 3 days per week, and emphasizes mentoring engineers, communicating clearly, and delivering compliant, safe control system designs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in ABET-accredited engineering program.
• 5+ years in design engineering for process control systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to review drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering for process control systems in nuclear projects.
• Develop P&IDs and system design descriptions.
• Prepare design input for drawings and schematics.
• Interface with vendors to prepare purchase specifications.
• Attend client meetings and conduct site walkdowns.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
• Support station outage activities as required.
