Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to design, modify, and analyze control systems for nuclear power plants. You will review design documentation, specify equipment, and collaborate with project teams to meet client requirements in a hybrid office setting.

The role offers exposure to digital control systems, PLC/DCS, and cyber assessment work, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to high-stakes projects in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Five or more years of experience in I&C Design Engineering.
• Experience with equipment selection, control philosophy, and preparation of design packages.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and analyze Instrumentation and Control systems for nuclear power plants.
• Review design documentation and vendor equipment documents.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
• Guide less experienced engineers and provide mentorship when appropriate.
