Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is expanding its Instrumentation and Controls Engineering team for nuclear projects, including SMR initiatives. The role involves collaborating with project teams and clients to deliver digital control systems, instrumentation, and related documentation.

You will interface across disciplines and mentor junior engineers in a challenging, technically diverse environment. The position offers a hybrid schedule with in-office work three days per week and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program; coursework in analog and digital control systems, systems engineering, mechatronics, or robotics.
• 3+ years of experience in design engineering for process control systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.

Responsibilities

• Interface with discipline engineers and designers on the Project Team and with the client to ensure requirements are met.
• Work on major process controls engineering projects: PLC, DCS, instrumentation and control systems.
• Prepare design input for drawings, cable block diagrams and schematics; interface with vendors on equipment specifications.
• Attend client meetings and perform site walkdowns; mentor less experienced engineers.
